ok maybe just one open leaves me wondering as well. but like I said having both open ensures that you wont flame an engine out. Yes, you are right in that by the point in which you would close one you will be at even tanks across the board, but i guess in the world of systems and engineers they will have 5 other mechanical reasons why that is preferred vs. operating a valve that doesnt need more wear and tear than is necessary.

interesting point tho about just the #1 or 4. oh well, in the 727 we just made sure the manifold was always pressurized and the only reason that i can come up with is more of the same....
