What kind of Brew is your favorite?

Guiness- universally available.
1878s- a C-17 post-combat 26 hour duty day staple. You were already effectively a .10 BAC based on the 26 hours w/0 stable sleep, and then add 2 of those puppies in the basement of Ops. Who needed Ambien poker back then?
Fat Tire- I used to live near the brewery and knew some of the family involved in it- Bummed it's not East of the Mississippi anymore- like the original Smokey and the Bandit, it's so good, it shouldn't be bootleggin' to bring it home in mass quantities. It could be the actual reason I'm happy to fly tranports! (PilotPip, let me know where you find it anymore!)
But, as David Allen Coe sings: Jack Daniels, if you please... (thread hijack?)

Hey Moose, you ever stopover in Shannon? Probably the best beer I ever had in my life was an 'Authentic' Guiness from the draft after a seven month (Dry!) deployment to the sandbox.
I'm not even too big on Guiness here in the states but man that was good beer!

Spartan,
Nope, I always have the wx and notams for it at the ready, but never got the chance yet. After 7 mos. riding the wagon in the sandbox I'd be near and dear w/ whichever beer I first had access to- Glad you made it to Shannon in one piece.

Anything from Belgium is going to be tasty and higher in alcohol than the typical U.S. brew...Chimay, Leffe, Duvel to name a few...harder to find in the U.S. but many places carry them...in a bar, Blue Moon is good (with an orange slice, IMHO, the only beer that is allowed to be "fruited").

Troy Pilsner, which I've only ever been able to find in Turkey, is my favorite. That opinion, however, may be somewhat effected by experiences had while drinking Troy.
As a side note, unless there are no other options (which, sadly, is commonly the case), don't drink Efes.
At the end of the day, however, I'm more of a Hard Cider person. Woodchuck is my favorite well-distributed brand, and Widmer occasionally puts out a great micro in the Northwest.

No kidding, Spartan. That little terminal in Shannon was something else, wasn't it? I don't think there was a single guy on our plane that wasn't completely lit before getting back on that plane!
