1. Any approach into CMH...it means I'm home!
2. LGA Expressway Vis
3. DCA River Vis
4. (one I hadn't seen on here) MDW ILS31C Circle 22L...no VASI/PAPI...too close in to pick up a slope...short runway, it's just fun.
5. MMMY (Monterray, Mexico), VOR 11...DME Arc through the mountains to final.

"If you guys have never been to Eagle Co. than you dont have the required amount of hair on your balls yet, any approach(well T/O too) is pretty crazy there as the airport is in a valley surrounded by mountains on all side. Its like flying inside of a bowl. Only place I know of that you have to do an FAA ride in order to shool the ILS."
The LDA is to 25, with the possible circle to 7. We do it at night in the Dash-8.
Aspen is another such airport that you are required to have a special check out to fly into as well (at least at Mesa), and that one is a VOR approach. We are also allowed to circle for 33 in Aspen, in the valley just SE of the airport. That same valley is where we must turn 180 degrees while executing our balked landing procedure.

The most fun I had recently was doing the Circle to 29 in EWR. Winds gusting to 40+. Definately sporty.
I'm also a big fan of the short approach into CVG. Watched a CA take it from 7K abeam the field and kept his base over the river for 18L. Probably one of the cooler things I've seen in a jet.

few things are better than the radar visual into dominica in the carribean. descend as low as you can into the overcast, paint the island with the radar, and then call the field in sight and descend on your own. Once you break out over the coast point it towards the volcano and then fly to the pine-apple farm and then reverse chandelle it into the river valley and fly through it to land on the 4000 foot runway with the usual 10 knot cross wind. Just make sure you stop in time so you dont go for a swim at the end of the runway!!
any visual approach up here in the states is fun as long as they drop you in high and let you turn it in tight!

Aspen is a good approach just never actually got to fly it, just a right seater every time I've been there. And My misake the gentleman above is correct its the 25 LDA w/the 7 Circle. Crazy approach huh? Better have your sh_t together when flying in the Rockies. Has anyone ever flown into Leadville, Colorado. I believe its the highest airport in the Country something like 10,000 ft elevation, talk about D.A. . The military does there high altitude chopper training there for experience before going to Afghanistan- next time im in Vail im going to try and drive up to do a local flight out of there with an instructor, looks like alot of fun.
