Haven't researched the validity of this myself as of yet, but I read in a paper not too long ago (must have been the USA Today LoL) that re-using plastic water bottles (Poland Spring etc...) allows toxins from the plastic to eventually make their way into the water. Take it for what it's worth...!

I've heard the same about using Nalgene's and those types of water bottles. Some granola girl told me once that nasty stuff from the plastic leaches into the water, thence into your body. It never stopped me from using them. How the heck else are you supposed to carry around water? Glass? A gourd?

Granola girl? Glass? Gourd? Awesome man...

I'd settle for a nalgene - I find those a bit more trusty than Dasani any day of the week...But if you really wanted to be cool, you could find yourself one of those old-school cow-hide sacks

If anyone is feeling charitable, I really could use expired low or high enroute charts. I was asked to present at a local middle school's career day in April, and part of the presentation includes the basics of how we navigate. I'm trying to collect enough charts as hand outs so every kid can have one. If anyone has a stack of these things laying around, I'd be willing to reimburse you for a USPS Flat-Rate Priority Mail envelope ($4.60). PM me if you can help.

The enroute charts make great wrapping paper for birthdays / holidays, and it personalizes the gift.

I used to save all my sectional charts when I was flying GA and Part 91 for the same purpose...

Just thought I would throw that out there for you guys =)
I use them for Christmas wrapping too.

I also wall-papered one wall in my little office (escape room) in my basement with them. Another wall has all of my old requests for applications and interviews along with the rejection letters on it.

I wet them down, and use them as sort of a baby wipe/toilet paper. Very smooooth on a shaved/waXED buttocks.

I thought I was the first one to use them as wrapping paper. I did it several years ago and everybody loved it, so now it is expected. The Jeps are see-through though so they can be less effective, -takes two wrappings at least.

I hear the ink is carcinogenic and I don't want colon cancer so options are limited...

I'm not probing my bunghole for brown gold, sugar. Neither should you.
