What!? Sorry bro - there's no soccer today. Germany will be playing Turkey on wednesday. I agree though, it IS going to be an interesting match. Let's see if Germany can make it or if they are too arrogant (like against croatia earlier on).

Germany shouldnt have much trouble against a barely standing Turkey. Half their team is out on injuries or cards, Germany will be pretty much playing Turkeys team B. So I bet the German side is quite happy.

Yeah, I agree, normally that should be a very easy game, especially after the tremendous win over Portugal last thursday. But the Germans often need strong oponents to be good themselves. They played horribly against Austria, Croatia and Poland (even if they won two of those games). I just don't know. This tournament has been crazy with lots of surprises. Let's just wait, enjoy the games and see what's going to happen.

Germany v. Turkey. I've got a softball game during the start of the match. Bummer. At least the Autobahn will be clear when I'm on my way home and I can make my 54 mile trip in 30 minutes at 110-120ish MPH and catch the end.

There is a German Baseball league; small, poorly advertised, web site all in German so I can't figure out when the Mannheim team down the road plays. There are pocktes of American sports around the area. Mostly in locations where US forces are or once were stationed.
