How many murders are worth one innocent man? You can't have it both ways. Some will fall through the cracks and there's nothing in life to explain it that holds any water. Either let all the killers go and be 100% sure you don't have an innocent man in there or put them all away and be 100% and be sure you don't have the killer out here. Who knows what the next technology will be able to do, Minority Report anyone???, but until then I'd rather have a system that takes care of business and not one that spends more time debating the legality of something, ie how evidence was found, than if the person is actually guilty. No reason a bloody knife shouldn't be used because an officer found it without a warrant. No reason to spend years and millions of dollars on a known terrorist sitting in a jail cell who did all he could to kill the innocent in our country and admits to being guilty. Drag them out back and take care of it. That terrorist in a cell is no different that the guy climbing out the window of my neighbors house.

That is a good question Toilet. I, for one, would much rather have a murderer walking the street than put an innocent man to death. Of course this is not the most likely outcome. I would rather put murderers behind bars for life (or most of it) than have the death penalty. Funny, I've always been in favor of the death penalty. It is just that so many are being cleared these days that I am in favor of suspending the death penalty until there is a more convincing way to prove the guilt or innocence of the accused.

Yeah, shooting people in the back are signs of hope for our country? I don't know your exact citizenship but my country (USA) is founded on principles of justice. However, vigilante knee-jerk frontier justice isn't one of them.......no matter how many gun magazines one reads.

The guy should have been indicted and jailed. Anything else is unAmerican.

Wild accusations without all the facts are pretty kneejerk and un-american.....no matter how many issues of Cosmo you keep under your bed.

Much like the deceased. I feel horrible for those criminals.

So 2 weeks after the initial post you now weigh in? Did you care to read the 120+ post between the first and your's? I dare say... not by the way your post reads.

FWIW, we have now probably debated this 10 times longer than the grand jury did.

Our country was founded by guys who would have shot them too.

A. What does the date of my post compared to the date of the initial post have to do with anything? Did I violate some APC policy by not logging in often enough? This topic will only expire when the mods lock it, not when you deem it expired.

B. Yes, I did read through all the posts and I simply chimed in with my opinion. Just because most opinions lean one way doesn't mean that the discussion has been settled......far from it.

C. If you're tired of this thread, nobody is going to shoot you in the back for not clicking on it.

So, is robbing hardworking homeowners un-American? Mr. Horn can be my neighbor any day. Especially with our type of employment!

You got that right!! These Criminals were multiple offenders for all kinds of crime and drugs. They were robbing hard working people and also were threatening their security in their neighborhoods. I knew a family whose home was robbed when no one was home. Well the wife was so bent out of shape about it she couldn't relax in her own home from then on. They ended up selling the house and moving. Mr. Horn can be my Neighbor any day. You better believe if someone breaks into my house when i am home i would do the same.

P.S he wasnt shot in the back he was shot in the side because he supposedly starting coming towards Mr. Horn and when the shot was fired the guy turned to "dodge" the shot.
