Default Pilot Relationship Study

All: I am currently a graduate student in Mental Health Counseling. I am doing research on professional pilots’ personal relationships and what makes them work or not work. If you have the time and inclination, please share with me any experiences you have had in your marriage or significant relationships that are atrributable to your profession as a professional or airline pilot. I am not intersted in names, or personal data. If you choose to particpate, all I ask is basic demograpic data such as age, area of the country, and anything else you deem significant. I’ll look forward to anything you wish to share and will use it all in total confidence. All e-mail addresses will be separated from data upon receipt and destroyed. I am interested in developing programs for professional pilots to improve and enhance their personal relationships while navigating this incredibly stressful atmosphere we operate in every day. If you have anecdotal information you would be willing to share about your own relationships please send them in confidence to Steve Derebey at [email protected]. Please do not post them here. Thank you all very much in advance for your particpation in this study!

I take it you are primarily interested in those relationships lasting more than 24 hours?

This is very easy. Just focus on beer and complaining about management.

The conventional wisdom is that THOSE relationships don't end at 10 hours...they persist for the remainder of the 4-day trip
