Anybody that has mentioned racing Motocross still do it? I raced for many years, making it all the way to the A class. Looking to maybe ride again for fun. No racing.

As a teenager growing up in rural America with lots of farmland, I had a Honda 250XR, Honda 500XR as well as two Honda sport ATVs (200 and 250?). My dad owned a delivery company and had lots of trucks with his own fuel pumps ... so the fuel never ran out and we'd ride all day long.

Not to be the thread Debbie Downer, I know too many people killed on street bikes. Only a few have survived the crashes. My best friend wrecked his Kawasaki ZX-7 after hitting a dog that ran out in front of him and then hitting a telephone pole. Ernest was in a coma for three months, later recovered, but never will be the same. My cousin has had three major accidents, all of which involved another vehicle hitting him. He barely survived the last accident.

Drivers today are too distracted, doing everything but driving. As much as I would love a tricked out Harley, I can't bring myself to get one.

About the riskiest hobby I have now is going out four-wheeling with some buddies. The land is essentially flat swampland, nothing steep enough to flip or roll over.

I sold my Yamaha R6 a few years back. I told my wife that if I ever bought another sportbike, it would be for the track only. Too many variables on the open road

I raced motocross as a teenager, then got a road bike as an adult and was nearly killed by a drunk driver in a Cadilac one night. My helmet saved my life, and that was in a no-helmet law state, I was really, really, glad I was wearing it!Ended up selling the bike when the wife would no longer get on it.

I would like to get another enduro type bike, maybe a 450 four stroker only for off road. I'll never ride on the road again, not with all the morons I see texting and driving every day! The biggest problem where I live (central Florida) is finding good off-road places to ride. And for the $10K, heck, I could get a used ultralight airplane and fly it out of my backyard!
