Gee, that's a really high-class comment. Your attitude is similar to the general public's regarding ... pilots.

theres always the flip side to that. pilots believing there are only pilots and trash in this world

Default So there I was...

Have had two bikes. Nothing fancy.
Had a old Suzuki SP-125 that I used to get around on when I was in college.
One day I was coming around a corner (at the speed limit) and a car coming the other way turned in front of me.
Bike ended up on his hood, I smashed the windshield with my helmet, and broke my wrist. My groinal area hurt pretty good too, but superficial damage luckily.
Bike was totalled, his car might have been too, never found out. It was a little car and got banged up pretty good, and his insurance company covered my injuries, my bike, and gave me an extra $4k (which I did not ask for). Used the extra money to get my instrument rating and for some food.
Worked out well strangely enough.
Had a KLR-650 too a few years ago. That was fun and I managed to avoid hitting anything.
Big on helmets.

I live in Daytona yes, but I don't think they let motorcycles on the speedway?

Well i would really love to get one but being 21 and male is killer on the insurance. I like the Yamaha YZF600 though and hopefully someday will be able to afford one when they dont consider me such a risk. Anyone have and good ideas on what are some good bikes to start on? Like I said I am kinda partial to the crotch rocket style but maybe thats because Im young and feel invincible......

I would say at least don't go higher than a 600 on a starter bike. And do a MSF course first

'02 CBR600F4I. Yosh RS3 full system, yosh pwr comander, erion cams, K&N, Works Connection suspension, Galfer brake lines & pads w'wave rotors, Ohlins dampner, Pirelli Super Corsa's soft front, medium rear. 1:23.3 best at Willow Springs.

Bike is currently in a heap. Last time out in the canyons I lost the front end at 70, and she rolled into the ditch. That was 3 years ago. I guess haveing a kid puts my toys on hold.

Used to own a 00 GSXR750 but didn't like it. It was a good bike, plenty of power and light to fling around, but the honda just fits my riding style better. When I start makeing some real money, I want a Duck!

Edit: forgot about the 520 chain conversion. I actually felt a change in how quick the thing flicks around with this conversion. Conversion is from Supersprox, "Stealth 520 Conversion."
