I hope he gets it replaced..... and by replaced, I mean he gets his choice of the model. Any guitar player will tell you that they aren't all the same.

The name of the game in today's world seems to be "Avoid responsibility for anything." I had a guitar on an AA flight a few years ago and when I got to my destination it was broken. They told me it wouldn't be covered because it's "electronic equipment." Funny, nothing electronic broke. I actually flew on AA again about a year later and brought the same guitar (now fixed), and when the guy at the end of the jetbridge told me "you'll have to tag that and put it under" I flat out told him no - they had broken it before and refused responsibility. It came on the plane with me.

Things have taken another turn! UAL is now going to take care of this problem AND us this video during training as a way to NOT provide customer service.
Who would have know it only takes a little over a year, a snappy country song, and mariachi backup singers to get somewhere!
