Default Cat!!!

Was on a solo flight today, doing a cross country. I planned my flight from BOI to S87 (Weiser), to EUL (Caldwell Industrial) and then back to BOI. On final into Weiser I looked down the runway and thought I saw a plastic bag floating across the runway. Figured it would be blown off the runway before I even touched down. As I approached the aprin I noticed the bag wasn't moving very fast. I took a better look at the bag and it turns out it wasn't a bag at all, but a white cat. I was able to power up and go around to avoid hitting the little fur ball. How would you explain to the FSS that you want to cancel the rest of your flight plan because you hit a cat? I can imagine they would want to know what flight level I was at when the mishap occurred.

I've seen a lot of wildlife on runways over the years...groundhogs, coyotes, deer and even some people camped on a runway in South America. Thankfully, I've been fortunate to miss them.

Yep, be careful around uncontrolled fields where any wildlife is reported as a hazard, they can make an awful mess:

Awesome! You guys should've had a line guy lay under the prop after shut down, and watched peoples reactions.

I flew into ramona airport(RNM) and once I landed had a coyote chase and follow our plane into the ramp area.

When I taxiied up to parking, a guy met me by the plane and I told him about the cat. He said that they see coyote on the runway all the time, but the cat was a first. He figures the coyote just hadn't got the cat yet.
