Default What Made Your Day?

I finally met Diver Driver in person when he came to SEA for training. Also had the pleasure of meeting his sim partner (who will soon join APC!).

My favorite customer came into the coffee shop and we had a great time catching up.

I found a great recipe of fried fish breaded with panko. Even my husband ate two pieces instead of the usual one.

Quite suddenly, a whiff of my dog came through from the garage into the house. It's been almost a year since we lost him, but each time I smell his distinctive smell, I want to believe that it's his way of saying hello.

It was certainly inspired by MeLu, although not a direct quote.

While at the holiday inn albany I learned that aircrew can get one free drink and snack from the little "store" they have. I got a 20oz diet pepsi and a small pack of jalapeño combos.

I'm now sitting in the plane on a 3 hour delay and I don't care!

FREE STUFF!!

Waiting in line at Five Guys the other day at IAD, saw a young kid traveling with his dad wearing a blazer, button down shirt and towing a bite size roller, wearing a "junior pilot" hat. He was imitating the pilots he saw and got a great big smile whenever I looked over. Reminded me of the way I was when I was younger.

Wait what?! You mean they actually let him of of the box long enough to go out for coffee?!

I should have a word with his new employer about this.

Was he grinning from ear to ear?

Yes. And I will never despair over any regional pilot any longer!

Here is a news article that made my day today. I'm for the Kansas pig myself.

PORTLAND — Portland police had to break up a fist-fight after a pig-cooking contest that resulted in a McMinneville chef and the event's organizer being arrested.
After the Sunday event, chef Eric Bechard confronted Brady Lowe, the cook-off's organizer, denouncing the contest for giving top marks to pork raised in Iowa.
Bechard, who advocates using locally raised food, told police he didn't like the contest bringing in a pig from Iowa.
Lowe says the event at a downtown hotel used three Oregon pigs, along with one from Kansas and another from Iowa.
The Oregonian reports that the Multnomah County district attorney's office declined to prosecute the two men.
