-1 for Situational Awareness...your excuse is equivalent to overflying Minneapolis because you were looking at your laptop
She was/is the problem, IMO. Don't put a ring on it. The "fix" is to kick her to the curb.
If it becomes a problem at your (potential) work apologize and then thank them. They helped you see her true colors before it was too late.

Reminds me of the wife of a B-52 crew member at Castle (yes, wife of a school house instructor) who stormed into the OG's office demanding to know who would be mowing her lawn while her husband was deployed (Desert Shield).

OK!!!!......

If that's the case, I would have looked at her and said very sternly..."What the @%** is wrong with you. Have you lost your ******* mind?

As someone quoted in another thread, "Either she's incredibly smart or incredibly STUPID". I tend to believe that it is the latter.

With flying, we learn to set and abide by bottom lines... ILS DH, VFR weather minimums, etc... apply this to real life. Girlfriend takes your work into her hands? GO AROUND! Set a bottom line with this one. If she lost you the job or pulls something like that again, you may want to re-evaluate the compatibility of her and your career.
