Nosegear iz strong like tractor! Da!

This is why clear and careful comm is very important during these operations, even more so in foreign countries like Atlanta.

Speaking of foreign countries, is Dulles still as bad as I remember it to be on the UAX side of things?

Looks to me like the jet rolls forward just a couple seconds after the ramper who was holding up the 'x' to the crew walks away. Perhaps seeing no marshaller holding the 'x' up contributed to prematurely releasing the brakes.

Regardless, definitely some poor communication and some very lucky rampers. Getting pinned between a 60,000lb tug and a 747 would be sure to make your day a lot worse.

You don't want to be the guy who releases the Park brake and then hears "Captain, I still on headphones!"

Towbars can break and garbled communication is not uncommon. Be sure before you push those throttles up!

You are strictly prohibited from posting or transmitting any unlawful, threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic, or profane material that could constitute or encourage conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law.
If it has reached the public domain, it is almost certainly not "criminal" but rather "journalism". The person who originally released the material might liable in some fashion (they could certainly be fired). Even Top Secret/SCI information is mostly "fair game" once it hits the streets...the guy who released is probably going to become a permanent resident of KS but everybody downstream is likely free and clear (see pentagon papers, wiki leaks).

Obvious exception would be material which is a copyrighted consumable (music, movies, etc). Distributing unauthorized copies of things like that is not journalistic in nature and can give rise to at least civil liability.

The old man told me they used to power into the gates without a tug.
