Companion Pass Rider TOTD

This lady, on a companion pass, posts a cursing rant to a Facebook against AA after being denied boarding for inappropriate attire. Actually records herself cursing AT the gate agents.

If I was the employee who let her use my companion pass, I’d be slightly miffed.

I don’t believe in karma...but I’m pretty sure when you act like tools, others will treat you as such.

And you don’t think a Delta crew has ever done that to someone else? Before I was at Delta, I had a a Captain tell us we should take the next van. We left in the first van.

How about we wait 10 minutes for another crew (same airline), then they dash off as soon as the van parks at the hotel....... just so they can get to the sign-in sheet before us. I’ve seen this many times. Some guys aren’t smart, others are self centered.

The problem with "the next crew will be here in 5 minutes" that in my personal experience that is a lie 100% of the time. Sign up for 5 and you're stuck for 15 (and then after 15 you end up leaving without the other crew anyway). Don't blame the other crew, it's the transportation providers who don't provide adequate vehicles and then are unable to give a proper estimate that are the problem.

It's different when they were four miles behind you final, and you know it. Flip side, I have left without a crew the driver wanted to wait for when there was no other plane (or LDG lights) in sight at a small field. It's at least 15 minutes from long final to curb.

This made me chuckle. We actually had a certain airline crew tell us we needed to take the next van while curbside in BHM. It's amazing how some people are in their own universe.

One of the coolest things I’ve witnessed....so we walked to the far end of the terminal in DFW to find that KCM was out of service. While walking back to the normal security line, I see a pilot for an Air Line that is no longer based there and inform him that KCM was down, just to be nice. He rapidly turned and corked us off at the security line with a purpose. Guess he really had to make his Atlanta commute:)

I'm sorry, what is corked off with purpose?

We were 10 feet from security line, he spun around rapidly and filled that 10 foot gap with himself in an instant.

Did you give them a wind check or tell them to just worry about monitoring guard?
