Guy who takes pictures of flight crew without permission... :)

DeadHead 11-05-2012 06:03 PM

I must be the only one who spontaneously starts coughing and hacking when flying with a germaphobic.

Of course if you did, he'd be spraying that Febreeze all over you!

Thats what smoke goggles are for :)

Note to any FAA or (alleged) camera-happy jump seating types, I would never, ever misuse safety equipment or violate any SOP or FARs.

I do the same thing for OCD people. Move their carefully placed pens crooked, fold the paper a little wrong, heading bug off by 1 degree, etc. The key is to act blissfully unaware of what you are doing so they can't say anything.

Strategically placed crumbled napkins that appear to be snot-rags work well also. ;)

I think sure, no problem and go about getting us ready to go only to hear tssssshhhhhhhht....tssshhhhhhht....and I turn around to see him alternately spraying disinfectant and Febreeze on every seat in the cabin. One. At. A. Time.

This guy wouldnt happen to be an FFDO would he?

Being an AA guy, with the recent contract and media crap going on, I always assume some schlub with a camera is watching from the terminal. I make sure I've got my flashlight, checklist, all necessary implements, so there'll never be any "questions" about my pre-flight.

Why yes, yes he would. I get the feeling you know whom I speak of.

I will have to say, I don't mind this as a deadheader cause there is some nasty people sitting in those seats before me. But when working with the guy I can see how frustrating it could be when he wants you to do his work too.
