Just flew with a captain who told me "if my landings suck, you get to stand at the door and say goodbye." I looked at him and laughed. He said, "no, really, you get to stand in the door."

"Nope. I'll gladly stand in the door whether or not my landings suck." I may be a little slower to jump up but I've got it.

Can't wait to fly with him again.

Funny how you put this post in the "tool" of the day thread. I see what you did there;)

Yes, I did once. He was an ex-military pilot.

No, he was a TOOL!

I fly with ex-military pilots all the time, I'm one myself, none of them wear nomex gloves at their airline job...

Heck, most of the heavy drivers never wore them while flying in the military!

In my first 4.5 years at DL, i flew with 4 guys that weren't ex-military. Not a single kneeboard among them.

Might want to revise how you're defining him. :)

As Timbo stated, that is truly TOTD worthy!

FYI Drank this thread isn't a competition to see who can be the biggest tool.

But if it were, you sure be in the running. ;)

I was ready to tase him by the end of it. "I'm not a person, I'm a man. I'm a citizen of Idaho."

I was ready to taze myself by end of it.

The one guy that had the kneeboard was ex-military. The others who wore the gloves were civilian, not military. Still...tools in all.
