I guess the strobe issue is dependent on pilot technique for some and FOM policy for others. I personally think it's better to to throw them on once you in a position and hold on the runway waiting for clearance. I have a good friend who disagrees with me and throws the strobes on right before clearance is received. He's been doing that for years and just recently his dog was diagnosed with brain cancer, so personally I think the whole waiting on the strobes is not the best decision.

How are these two things related? (Hint: I don't actually have a buddy who has a dog with brain cancer.) |

Quick question fellas, what does my buddy's decision to not turn on his strobes until he receives a takeoff clearance have to do with his dog having brain cancer?
You tell us, Einstein. You said it, so no...you aren't a victim here and don't get to play one either. TOTD |

450,
Just a heads up...I do not think you realize this is a venting thread. Just because you do not agree with someone complaining (ie the whole FA thing) dont get all worked up over it. have a good weekend. |
