Which reminds me of a time in BUF at a hotel that had paper thin walls. The couple next door were fornicating loudly and I had an early wake up call. While I was happy for the guy, it did start to get just a tad bit annoying so I knocked on the wall which stopped the "oohs" and "aahs" at least for a little while.

Of course it started back up again. So I decided to call their room. I could hear their phone ringing both in my handset and across the wall, too. They just kept on going so I just let it ring probably for at least 30X. Finally she answered and in a very out of breath voice said "Hello?". I asked if I could come over and watch. Well, to make a long story short......that stopped the disturbance :D

Hahaha I thought I was the only one that did that! I will even call after first leg if it's a short one.

This is my method, as well. A couple of other pointers- tilt the clock so the speaker is pressed directly against the offender's wall, and pack it in a pillow on the other side to avoid "collateral damage" to other adjoining rooms.

I may adopt the breakfast buffet one...absolutely pure gold! :D
