Took me 10 years, and then boom...2 trips in a row I lost buttons. Did I anger the airbus gods somehow? Perhaps I should start wearing them all phases of flight and encourage others to do the same? Including threading them through my epaulets?

I have to save others from experiencing this same travesty!

It keeps the seatbelt from rubbing the thighs of your pants and making them shiny.

Also helps the goldbond set better.

That's what I figured.

Sorta brings a whole new meaning of "cheap" when you take measures to extend the MTBF of your pants.

Flew with a chap who would take a linen of the galley cart. He put the linen on his lap before fastening his seat belt. He said it prevents lap belt stripes being imprinted on his polyester pants.

That's an age old tradition among airline pilots.

Guess I don't know the secret handshake for that tradition. But hey being overseas for 22 years, what do I know what's going on at home these days.
