Yesterday morning we had an early show time in IAH. Only one person was ahead of us in line at KCM and it was a FA arguing with the TSA agent about how they should let her boyfriend go through this line just this once because the regular security line is so long and he'll miss his flight. She was dumbfounded and got all ****y eyed when the agent told her no.

In the pre-KCM days, a TSA agent at the metal detector pointed out that I had a streak of dried blood running from one ear, down my jaw and onto my neck from an apparent shaving cut of which I was unaware.

The hell of it is, I had been walking and chatting with a fellow pilot for five minutes prior to going through security, and he didn't say a word about it.

This is why FAs shouldn't be allowed in KCM at all. One of them is going to do something so supremely stupid one day that they're going to ruin it for everybody.

It's only a matter of time. Didn't a US flight attendant already accidentally bring her pistol to work in CLT a year or two back?

Some FA will screw it up for us at some point, it's only a matter of time.

Guess what, fellas? There have been PILOTS who have screwed up in the KCM line, including carrying weapons. So lets not just point fingers at the F/As. If KCM gets screwed up the most likely perpetrator will be a pilot.

Almost 2 hours for the first knee-jerk response. Tsk, tsk.....you boys are slipping and frankly, disappoint me.

Captain I flew with today who said, "I just don't understand why guys continue to go to Spirit when places like United and AA are hiring. They are desperate for pilots. That's just stupid."

After ten minutes of discussion and bringing up many obvious points, he just said, "Whatever, I'm not in the job market, but those guys are stupid."

Yet another prime example of ignorance and this bewildering attidude that if legacies are hiring you can just waltz yourself right on in the front door...
