Capt: "Hey do you mind coming about two degrees left?" Me: "Two degrees, huh?" Capt: "Yes two degrees." Me: "Okay boss, you got it." After less than a minute on that "new" heading, the conversation then went like this. Capt: "Hey do you mind coming two degrees right?" Me: "So you want me to come two degrees right, to counter the two degrees left you asked me to go less than a minute ago?" Capt: "I guess I am picky." He actually was a fairly nice guy, but let's just say he at least admitted his quirk! |

Okay, how about this one a few years ago. It's my leg. There is a bit of green "clutter" on the radar but nothing too bad. We had asked for a heading and I liked where we were headed. The conversation continued like this.

Well, once again, it’s time to pay recognition to those special tools on the roadways out there that have the “too” virus when it comes to using their turn signals.
These charming folks are; too arrogant, too busy, too lazy, too important and too ignorant to use some common courtesy and basic safety to touch that turn signal lever. They worry about everything else in the universe it seems except for common courtesy and some basic safety. Because; they are the only person in the world on the roadways and they certainly cannot have any effect on anyone else around them, right? You go you wonderful tools! I’ll listen for your 5 seconds of fame during the next traffic update. |

dudes, someone has to admit that arguing about ffdo, posting pictures of cats, and lamenting about dumb drivers is pretty lame. What happened to "there i was, on the 10 wire....."
i think that's his point, however abrasive he chose to make it, there is some validity imho. Take it back to flying "bafoonery" that "your" willing to share, or lose some of the audience. This used to be my favorite thread and it feels like it's been hijacked by jack handy and his random thoughts |
SkyWest commuter tool
If you have a positive space seat, why would you decide to walk over to another flight that leaves a whole 30 minutes earlier and bump an offline guy from the jumpseat?
Congrats, though. You saved 30 minutes of your life by not taking your confirmed seat and cost another guy any hope of getting to his destination tonight. Bravo HOS/D, 18-year SkyWest captain. You are nominated for TOTD. |
