As long as the taxi instruction does not include more than four instructions. Detroit hits my four instruction Front End Processor checksum buffer limit resulting in data - copy inefficiency when they go to six, or seven instructions, as a query must then be re-sent.

I'm placarded as a four instruction FO. The grey hair around the ears gives me away as a first generation model.

BB ... first gen, van callin', meat servo.

Yea, I get checksum errors after about the 4th one as well. My cassette drive hooked to my TRS-80 processor needs to be cleaned again. I tried upgrading, but no one makes 5.25" floppy drives anymore.

I nominate those skippers and or F/Os who make PAs from the main entry way and think its good customer service.

I received an explanation of the Paleo diet and the merits of cross fit for about 30 min one flight. Also why drinking water from the Dasani bottles and hot liquids from styrofoam cups causes cancer. He had to explain to each new A-line about how he wanted his coffee from the china that they serve first class.

Another CA just read some conspiracy theory book about the economy and the Federal Reserve. I had to listen to this for 4 DAYS!!!

It's just naive...it's great customer service to the one or two who really appreciate it. The other 94% of the target audience is now wondering whether personality equates to flying skills...or if you're really gonna have to use the earphones on this flight. Besides...if you're out there they can see all the coffee stains and seat belt grease.

which reminds me...i want to nominate the seat belt lube guy...thanks dude...really...thanks again

When you, as an airline pilot, make this facebook comment to some young mom's joking post about needing a helicopter to bypass traffic:

"You know I agree completely. In fact I keep wondering why they think that pesky laws and regs should even apply to yours truly. Having plunked down a plane on a boat and while wearing speed slacks and looking all "Tom Cruiseish" in my younger days should produce a lifetime exemption. Heck. Maybe longer!"

I nominate the JB FO and CA, at MCO, last thr, between 10am and 12pm, that made PA's at the GATE with his mirror shades, until CA America took the mic away from him, and told him, "that's a no-no" only CA's and gate agents!

Good friend of mine was standing in line at the roachburger joint before flying a delayed by 84 hours LGA flight. He was chatting it up with a Mesa capt going the same direction when an inebriated passenger interrupted asking what the weather was is NYC because his wife is scared to fly in bad weather. My friend looks at him and says "CRAPPY" then exits the line leaving the Mesa guy to deal with the fallout.
