One of the top 400 introductions ever here...
I'm currently a rotary wing pilot for the Army whose completed his commercial rotary wing qual. Upon return stateside I'm going to knock out that pesky fixed wing for complex and high-performance aircraft, all in an attempt to make myself marketable for whatever I end up doing post Army.
I'm nearing the 1500 hour mark, over 100 goggles, and under 500 PC hours (by military PC flight logging standards).
The plans are between May-Dec 2014 complete the rotary wing instructor course and obtain my private pilots certification. 2015 will be dedicated to pretty much any certification I can find to round out my fixed wing skills, to include instruments, complex aircraft, and hopefully high-performance. After that, I'll be applying to the Army fixed wing program while pursuing my civilian instructor certification and rotary wings instrument qualification.
I'm basically trying to figure out what I want to do (Army rotary vs civy fixed wing) and I'm around the 16 year mark.

Retired military pilot here. Over 4000 hours but 2500 of those are in a UAV (I guess not actually "in" it). I have 1600 in an E-3, another 300 in a Metro III and the rest in some cats and dogs. Live in Dallas and am looking to continue flying.
