He is right. Why should he have to speak up for anyone without knowing any specifics? The anchor himself admit he does not know what charges the US citizen is being held under. I certainly would not vouch for someone I did not know, let alone a stranger who has potential criminal charges. This is just another example of "you're a celebrity so use your status to change things there."

He is an idiot, and I personally would be happy to see him move to North Korea for the rest of his years.
But... When asked a question that could put himself and his crew in immediate danger: I believe he intentionally went crazy as an act to protect himself, and the people that were with him. He spoke of their families as if the reporter was threatening their safety.
