Cmesoar, I see you adjusted your initial post to something a little less inflammatory.

But tell me, which US administration is responsible again for the perpetual Sunni/Shiite/Kurd slaughterhouse? I blame Woodrow Wilson and the League of Nations for caging the mongoose with the cobra. We should impeach that guy ASAP.

Iran isn't gonna let a bunch of Sunni militants take over their neighbor. If anything we'll see an Iranian invasion and annexation of southern Iraq. Probably better that way anyway, Iran is the closest thing to a civilized country in that part of the world.

The big three (aa, dal and ual) will be able to weather the storm. If anyone needs to worry about this it's the LCC airlines and maybe another enema is what this industry needs to clean out the airlines that can barely hang on and just like to play spoiler.

Nice comment, douchebag....Wishing for fellow pilots to lose their jobs. Good luck with the oil surge and NAI.

Read what I wrote, I didn't say anything about wishing that pilots lose their job. I just can't stand these crappy upstarts that can only eek out a minor profit every quarter and do nothing but try and chip away at the higher paying profitable airlines.

Really? Those are the precise airlines with the greatest exposure and vulnerability to global instability.

You would think after all these years, especially after the '70s pilots would have all this airline stuff figured out and treat the job as a hobby rather than one with a secure future.

The ones who've got it all together are the ones who have a back up plan should the flying job disappear.

What happened to all those Iraqi troops we've been training and arming for the past 12+ years, who were supposed to defend their country from these guys?

Now you see why Sadam ruled like he did. I'm not saying he was a nice guy, but now you know why he killed -anyone- who even thought about an uprising.

Tell me again why we went in there in the first place? Not a single 9-11 hijacker was from Iraq, most of them were from Saudi Arabia, and Bin Laden was a Saudi. Even Shrub's Dad, GHW Bush (the 90yr. old paratrooper), knew enough to leave Sadam in power after Gulf War 1...or else this exact scenario would play out.

But nothing is going to change over there until their own people rise up and change it. Remember, America went through a both revolutionary war in 1776, and a civil war in 1865, just trying to become "The United States of America". Turns out, freedom isn't free. Do the Iraqi's want to pay that price?

We've tried to fix Iraq, and we wasted a lot of good people's lives, not to mention $780 Billion in tax dollars, trying to drive out the bad guys, arm and train their soldiers to defend themselves, and rebuild the country. Then they run and hide when the bad guys show up? YGTBSM.
