Yeah, its the military still in ya. Oh, I mean the Military. I'm a retired zoomie and even I cringed at DD214. Oh, I mean Zoomie. :D |
This guy wouldn't know what to do with a snapper if it was right in front of him. What a shame.

Once they accepted the visual to 27R, maintaining traffic separation is on the pilots. |
I hate guys like this. and then he said he makes a mistake every 2 to 3 minutes... this guy needs a serious vacation

I bet he feels bad about it right now, it's making its viral rounds. I bet this is a one time occurrence for this pilot because nobody would want to be seen day after day on the Internets as having uncontrollable anger issues. |
Jeezzus, that's not an airplane... That's a U-Boat!:D

Sooooo.... in airliners both pilots have the ability to talk. I made a picture for you since you seem to be unfamiliar.
http://i938.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps9e1106a2.png The red circles and arrow point to where either pilot can key a microphone and talk to an air traffic controller, who in this case was is in the tall tower. The controller is working what we call "Ground", and in Atlanta they clear you to taxi on the taxiways and then tell you to monitor tower, one of the few airports in the western hemisphere (outside of Canada) that seems to think they need to tell you that. Should I continue? :D |

Here's an edited clip of the exchange:

I hope he feels bad about it, that's an attitude that doesn't belong in any crewed cockpit with passengers on board.

Delta pilot? Naaahhh, that sounds like a guy who has worked 18 of the past 19 days of this 30-day month under regional work rules ... Err, wait...what?
|
|
You got to admit though, the line, "I make a mistake every 2-3 minutes, and I don't have bad attitude about it", is bumper sticker worthy.

For your listening pleasure. (30:20) That double breasted jacket must be on a little too tight. Or maybe they were busy monitoring delta ops radio 121.5, either way I hope I can attain that level of professionalism someday. |
****ed about his wait to go to charlotte...wheels up for Charlotte was the final straw.

So much for that fancy psych. eval you guys give. It's eliminated a lot of good guys that would never snap like this.

And the way that guy was talking, so uptight you could crack a nut with his ass cheeks. 22 years instructing on the MD88 will do that to you! |

1) I sometimes like to make mistakes every 2-3 minutes but never have an attitude about it. 2) I like to get argumentative/confrontational and make up my own rules at times. |
What a pathetic embarrassment to our profession.

So, I'm passing through ATL ops yesterday. There were five guys all clustered around a cell phone listening to the exchange. I assumed they were talking about underboob.
We need some underboob for this thread. Where's Jessie? |
