Forgot to bid is exactly right here Pilot30324. I can promise you that your name and the names of those other crew members are already known. A number of folks here that fly for Delta have probably already got the IP address you used on all of your posts and that geographical data will have narrowed the list of possible folks down to a few. You'll never get interviewed here. Sadly, the others won't either. You simply couldn't risk hiring someone like you who has such disdain for the company.

Good luck at the other airlines you apply with. From reading your posts, you're going to need it.

It was until the OP went out of his way to bring this public and it went viral. I agree that while reflecting badly on the pilot, was not that big a deal, and likely never would have risen beyond the exchange had it not been intentionally highlighted. Now someone is going to at the very least get an @ss chewing, and possibly disciplinary action, and someone who might otherwise be a decent individual might lose a shot at a job at DAL. All for 5 minutes of internet fame. Sad :(

Guys and girls just keep in mind that EVERYTHING you say on the radio is now publicly available. We pilots make good copy for the press ESPECIALLY if we have a less than stellar moment. Apparently being a pilot now days is on par with being a kiddie pop star in the eyes of what we call the "press". They love to catch us in a screw up.

Which is why I lean towards this being more of him having an issue with a specific controller. I have no idea his previous schedule but there was IROPS the night before and maybe there was a run in. I don't know.

To me we all make mistakes. Controllers make mistakes, pilots make one every 2-3 minutes, normal guys don't get bent out of shape... unless... there is a reason. That rant was directed as a specific person not ATL ATC.

I wouldn't have said it if I hadn't received various facebook etc notifications about it time stamped BEFORE the original post here. lets face it, there are guys who just can't get enough of aviation and sit around listening to ATC live for whatever reason, and it is entirely possible that multiple people posted this independent of each other, not the giant pick on Delta APC conspiracy.

I checked my FB and all of the associated posts were after the APC OP. In any event, it would take a pilot to think that exchange was out of the ordinary. And what does it say about the dude who posted it that he took the time, after flying and operating early on a weekend morning, to go to ATC live, listen to it, and post it on APC. Douchey to say the least IMHO.

Notice, also, how quiet he's become since other guys shot him down. He only dug his hole deeper calling Delta pilots "idiots" and revealing that he has his app in at Delta. Talk about an "idiot." At a minimum, his judgement should come up at an interview, if he's fortunate enough to get one.

And then make sure they back it up because someone will file for its removal...like the flight school I went to, the video was hilarious.

With all that being said, have you ever had a run in with a controller?

Then said to yourself "man, next time I have to deal with this controller, I'm gonna totally unload on them"?

Even though it was a DIFFERENT day, and the controller didn't do anything in that exchange to incite the behavior?

Who knows? Based on what you could be suggesting, maybe pilots the the night before got snippy with the controller and the controller simply responded in kind? Hmmmmmmm, maybe the internetz detectives can get to the bottom of this whole mess and pull the tapes from the IROP period the night before.........

Good grief, if any LGA based pilots did that circa 2000-2001 with a SPECIFIC controller that was notorious for having a serious attitude, it would have made that place even more fun.

I've been flying for 33 years. I've heard a lot of idiotic **** on the radio. I've never felt compelled to run home to my computer, track it down, and flame a fellow pilot or controller.

The DAL guy was way out of line. So was the guy who highlighted it (while having his app in for a job at the same company). The former has issues, so does the latter.

missed my point totally. Whether you agree with it being posted or not wasn't the issue. I've heard much worse on the radio. But it wouldn't take a pilot to realize that a pilot (or controller) was being out of line, as you said in your post. That's the only item I was debating. Now let me go listen to ATC tapes for a few minutes, I'll try to dig up some dirt on American to cut Delta a break ;)

I've heard a lot worse on the radio before. I typically just block a guy on the radio when he's acting like an idiot. It's best for those transmissions to be unreadable/unheard IMO, and that's for everyone's benefit.
