If someone’s going to make a run on us, it will be if the JV goes through, that’s going to be prime time.

The allure isn’t going to be our brand. It’s going to be our route structure, planes, slots, and gates. Nothing lasts forever.
Why would it really matter if the JV goes through or not? I'm no expert, but what would happen to the JV assuming delta or United buys Hawaiian. Since JAL is "One World," I'm guessing that would end the JV. American might benefit from Hawaiian. Maybe there's a reason why many Ex-American Airlines management people work for Hawaiian now.

No inside information. I did hear the news on the Honolulu radio station today. Hiring more flight attendants for additional Japan flights for the 2020 Olympics.

Not that I trust the news media nowadays, but the keyword that I heard was additional flights. Take it with a grain of salt, sounds like good news to me.

1 new Fukuoka (Nov 2019) and 1 new Haneda (2020). Still waiting on the JV. If they don’t get it, I expect them to raise hell publicly

Yeah. Now that ALPA Has signed on with the idea, I don’t see anything stopping it. DAL Is jumping up and down like a three-year-old that just had a lollipop taken away from them, but they don’t have a valid argument to stop it.

I just hope we do some more expansion westward also. BOS was awesome. Now keep it going.

The earth is round. Go far enough west, and you’ll end up east. Yeah... You Got me.

Everybody knows the earth is flat. Keep going west and you’ll eventually fall into oblivion.

Anybody have advice for somebody currently living in Hawaii with strong ties, 1100 military jet hours, and hopefully a few hundred hours of 135 PIC time over the next two years (part time on top of my day job)? When I separate I'll hopefully have about 1500 TT- is it better to stick with the 135 to get to 2000 (all PIC) or try to get into a 121 like Ohana for the regional experience. HA is the ultimate goal, and for better or worse, going to the mainland is not an option.

Also, if anyone knows any guard bubbas out there...
