Don't have any inside info. However, the problem is that the engines for the NEO are having difficulty getting ETOPS certification. Everything is way behind schedule. The deliveries were supposed to have started already, but can't happen until the engines are certified.

First couple neo's planned for fall. Training and the vacancies will hold up. Those awarded neo should be getting more info on their training schedule soon.
Also another vcancy coming out soon. Some additional slots for 330 Captain and whatever other changes occur due to bids and awards.
I assume there may be an adjustment upwqrd in the amount of newhires needed( albeit a small adjustment.)
Currently the 17-02 vacancy called for 773 pilots on property by 12/31/17. I believe the last bid packet had around 690ish on property now.
The 17-02 vacancy had alot of 330 FO new hire positions open. And a good amount of Neo slots, not many current fo's have bid neo FO. No guarantee, but one could most likely expect to get a 330 or 321neo right from the start.

As long as the vacancies hold, I'll be a happy camper. Living the gravy train right now as far as schedule and trips. It'll only get better as December approaches.
Of course until making the fateful decision to go left seat and that schedule goes to ****!!
