1) you are just not ready..ie still too new to aviation or higher levels of a/c.

Or more likely

2) didn't prepare/ had a bad attitude...

Again I have no idea what the reason was or how far they had made it... just spectulating.
I bet they are regretting this one. Not greatto be booted from a major..

Both on the A330.

One made it to IOE and got cut there, the other somewhere prior to that even.

Do you know why, was it bad attitude and not putting in the work or was the 330 just too much to handle?

Obviously they could not have been cut for a good reason, hope they land on their feet though!

Default Typical month

Anybody mind posting a typical 717 and 330 month, junior and senior lines? Just curious the typical pattern of days off to expect...

I have long read these forums and excitedly decided to finally create a profile and post once Hawaiian opened their recent First Officer window in February, especially with 321s coming.

Well I certainly feel for the guys who didn't make it through and received "bump in the roads" of their careers, knowing they washed out from the A330 program, it is hard not to be a bit frustrated to hear this!

I would LOVE to be at Hawaiian, most especially in the 330!! Personally, have over 10,000 safe hours in Airbus aircraft, am a current 320 captain with 15 years of successful training events, check rides and IOE's, degree, volunteer and Letters of Rec stating I have a good, positive attitude along with teamwork and proficiency. Like many of us in the "Lost Decade Club", I was not offered the chance to come out and interview so far - one of the many experienced folks in the TBNT to interview group. But that's life sometimes. Perhaps the "timing" wasn't right, right now.

Even with a background in the Bus, I would have studied my rear off! Many of us take training seriously and study hard, would NOT be one of those "right seat captain" types, had savings in place to get beyond the $36/hr year one and respect and enjoy Hawaii and it's culture and it's people.

I am DEFINITELY NOT saying I'm any more deserving than any other candidate, but I do know I would do a good job for HAL with much less of the mystery of if I could get through the program or make the transition in a company that will have many Airbus aircraft soon. Many of my contemporaries from the "Lost Decade Club" may agree.

Training issues can happen, but with A321s arriving soon and A330s being very similar philosophies, I thought I would have been seen as well qualified to at least come out, say hi and interview. Congrats to all who have been recently hired! I hope you LOVE it... we will keep working hard to improve our chances to interview and hope to work alongside you folks down the road as new vacancies open.

There is no typical 717 line. The early flights start at 0500 and late ones finish around 2330. Start times from 0430 until about 1600. 4-9 legs, 6-8 is the norm. It is is day at a time for bidding. Some work blocks in a row within 117 limits. Others work a day or two on and one or two off. The contractual minimum is 12 hours between days, finish at 10 pm, you can't start until 10 am.

How many have not been successful since the current round of interviews started?

I guess this current round goes from roughly March till August. Does anybody know roughly what percentage are getting thru and what percentage are getting rejected after interviewing?

I interviewed last week. I received the conditional offer of employment within 24 hours via email. I have always wanted to fly for Hawaiian and live in Hawaii! I could not be more excited and happy to be moving on to the psych/personality test in a couple days. I got to choose what day I wanted to come back for that. Had the option between NY, LA and HNL. Good luck to all that have an interview and future applicants!

I know of one other guy that got the offer also but no idea as to how many got an offer versus the tbnt.

My qualifications are:
3200TT
420 TPIC
121 Sim instructor and CKA
Four year degree 3.7 GPA
Two internal recs
Age low 30's

Sorry if I missed it and this was already answered... are they accepting new applications? I couldn't find anything for "pilots," on the careers page. I've never applied before.

Thanks.
