There are reasonably-priced apartments near the airport in Kalihi, too. Check it out on GoogleMaps, 5 to 10 minutes to the airport, max. Super convenient. Can surf over at Sand Island and Flies, both very clean and un-crowded breaks.

Ke 'ehi Lagoon beach park and if it rains real hard you can take shelter under the Nimitz highway overpass. Seems very popular!

Could somebody give some info on QOL as a junior pilot working for HA? What is reserve like? There is very little info (other than HA/DAL merger arguments) doing a search.

717.. I hear is either AM or PM day trips. Does this go senior or Junior?

Widebody QOL?

Commutability to the other islands? I'm guessing not really doable if you are on the 717..

Living on Oahu on the pay?

How junior/senior do you have to be to hold A330 FO?

Not very. 330/767 slots will probably be available for some of the 30 pilots coming aboard this spring. The 717 will continue to be the junior bird, but you would be able to bid widebody as soon as your 2 year lock expires.

I understand that one may/or may not be on reserve on the 717 for long after IOE with reserve possibly going senior. Is that still the case? And what do lines typically look like for inter-island? Thanks.
