Creepy. I get the Poshmark one all the time. Your system knows what I see and do and think! OMG.

I have been getting them as well (still happens). Some are larger than others, and they are all asking if you want to install an "app" for various websites, usually some type of shopping.

They only show up when I'm using my tablet, and they only happen while on this website, no others. Not one.

Default Pop up adds now on this forum

I haven't visited this forum for a while and I noticed the owners have added those annoying pop-up/sliding-up adds to the corner of the forum. I have a bunch of blockers and script stoppers on my FireFox and they still come up.

Well it is a "free" forum so what do I expect?

I hope they are making a lot of money because of them. I wonder if advertisers realize it's ineffective and the only clicks they get is because their ad is annoying and got in the way.

In order to zap the pop ups I need to know which ones are appearing. If I could get screenshots, or the names listed on the ads, or links to where the ads lead to I can direct our ad network to not display those.

Without this information I can't make it stop.

The app ad-for-the-day today was "Poshmark-Buy & Sell Fashion." With a large "install" button at the bottom. All of the popups were for the same place.

The couple of times I have inadvertently "clicked" on one (it popped up at the same time as I was touching the screen to go to an area of the forum) it looks like it has been trying to go to the google play store. Again, these are pop-ups trying to get you to install an app.

One day I will get the pop up ads, and other days I do not.

When I do get it, every post or so will have one random word hyperlinked. As the hyperlinked word comes into my screen view, the pop up ad appears over the word and most of that post. It will disappear for a few seconds. However, the process repeats as I scroll through the posts in a thread.

I have noticed when I submit a post, the post will have a random word hyperlinked when I submit it.

Oh yeah, I use safari.

Thanks for that. I will have my ad guy check it out.
