They'll have to find some people to hire. Was just in Miami and can confirm 2 people in the latest 76 class. Big difference from even a year ago.

The word is out about what they are doing, (if you don't know you can start reading at atlasfacts.org) how they are treating us and how toxic it is here. It's actually sad... this place has so much promise, all it needs is some real leadership from company management to get us a contract and unite both sides. Leadership can fix this... it just makes no sense to alienate us the way they have... common sense would seem to lead one to believe this airline would be way more productive and easier to grow with the pilots on your side, helping to recruit versus alienating them. But what do I know I only have over 25.5 years of leadership training/experience, but I don't have a degree from a business or law school, so I guess I'm way off base.

Yup...you are WAY off base.

These forums are flooded with the same message, over and over again written ten different ways from Sunday but the one thing they lack is a tangible path forward. This is partly because once in the hands of an arbitrator, the timelines become less defined.

Well, what do you want the company to do? (rhetorical) Our path was set in motion once the union insisted upon RLA section 6 and the company was insistent the CBA provision section 1 E. Successorship. So what purpose does it serve to beeeotch and moan for something that we are helpless to change? Do you expect the company to change course? Or the union? Neither will and that is where we find ourselves....as told by a judge....because this is considered a "minor dispute", in other words interpretation of the contract, which an arbitrator will decide.

You did know that the union and the company knew this beforehand right? It was in the legal findings that the union and company had discussed this PRIOR to the lawsuit.

In this latest case though, would you have been ok walking away with integrity but no food? Remember, this is just hypothetical...so take a pill.....it is just a simple question of what YOU or anyone would have done in the case of the ATI/ABX situation last year and ONLY that instance.

How do you KNOW that their cargo is ABX cargo? You are just making assumptions. Are you saying that ALPA told them to fly or be fired? If so, then don't blame the crews....blame ALPA! Anyway, I would venture to guess that it would be pretty easy for the company to hide ABX cargo giving the crews no alternative. The whole situation stinks with the whipsaw and ALPA/IBT thing but, I see where you stand....sister airline....got it. So you would have been fired and ALPA would have been helpless in getting your job back. So you have integrity....now what? My point is there seems to be a grey area here calling it crossing a picket line with a sister carrier but only because the airlines are owned by the same holding company. Without SOC it creates a quasi conundrum for the ATI crews. Our case is different which makes the decision easy and defensible with contract verbiage! ATI doesn't have that contract language.

You lack integrity by calling me a scab when I have never crossed a picket line and it is unprofessional to say the least! Is this where my dues are going...to pay for you trolling web forums harassing other union members? So the union is pulling your puppet strings now to browbeat other union members for a mere hypothetical question? And fyi sherlock....my decision would have been easy to QUIT or at least bang in sick, not to cross a picket line as you incorrectly and moronically inferred.

You guys all need to relax. My identity is my family, not my job so I would have just quit and worked where ever to make ends meet and my family would accept me just the same. You guys get all spooled up about a mere hypothetical and then proceed to take some sort of moral high ground and jump on me in the process because I think the decision is not as easy as it looks at first glance. I was just looking for insight into what others may have done only if they were an ATI pilot last year during the ABX strike. I understand my responsibility COMPLETELY as it relates to the Atlas CBA. All I am saying is that if I were an ATI pilot, I might have had to make the decision to fly or be fired with no union protection. Don't point the finger at me, it is their management and union that created the whipsaw which makes it a tough decision for them and not so black and white in my opinion. I do think they are being unfairly labeled by all of you Monday morning quarterbacks that are quick to throw stones but I bet each and every one of you'd change your tune if put into that same position.....and when I mean SAME position, I mean if you were an ATI pilot at ALPA and if ABX with IBT representation went on strike and you were part of a crew that had to fly an aircraft without the ability to know if your cargo was considered struck work under threat of termination as a sole income provider for your family....that is what I mean by "same" situation.
Since you asked Dave - yes, no, yes. The local had food and money available from donations to whomever needed it. We take care of our own. You cannot buy integrity with your scab paycheck. The hatred burns bright for all those on the master scab list. This is a joke. Do you realize how much you have embarrassed yourself? Hard to believe that you work in this profession. Please stay off my flight deck. And possibly do something else with your free time.

Oh whoa is me....it's another member of the "gang up on Davetastic" club!......Oh whoa is me!! HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA. LMFAO!!!!

And just think....all this from just a hypothetical question.....You sir need to lower your blood pressure.

NO DOUBT, to be a scab means that you have crossed a lawful picket line. My question was originally supposed to be thought provoking about the term itself but you and others have morphed it into some sort of thread to support crossing a picket line...WHICH I DO NOT. The word scab is being thrown loosely around to call people scabs that are not as has been done here at Atlas. I have never nor do I EVER condone such action so please before you ban me from your imaginary flight deck, because of course you have no courage to reveal yourself to me or anybody else with your flimsy threats, please go back and re-read what I had wrote.

I think you and others just like to get all worked up so you have something to yell at your wives about. Masochist.

And if you find yourself on my flight deck, please say hello. I won't ban you for acting like a jerk....but you can't have my sodas....bring your own koolaid. You know the kind. I'm sure you have plenty.

Hey Dave,

I like you, man. There’s no gang-up on Dave club here or in real life. Sometime it’d be nice to hear about things you like doing in your off time or your preferences in pizza (Chicago style? Sicilian style? Beer-pizza combos? Can you put lamb on a pizza?).

We can end this cycle and maybe even find new snacks?

Lamb pizza? Are you freaking kidding!

I can disagree with you on the union, management and the contract; and still fly with you without a problem.

BUT

If you want Lamb on a pizza then I have to lump you in with pineapple pizza crowd and you are persona non grata ! Pizza is sacred!

Lamb belongs in a Gyro !
