Boston area info for low time guys
Hey all,
I have a green Commercial with Multi and Instrument ratings. Was wondering if anyone had any news for the northern Boston area. (Out of KASH right now to give you an idea). Just looking for anything really. Traffic watch, banners, surveying, fire spotting, things like that.
Any leads would help out a lot. Thanks!

Get your CFII ASAP and then you can find a better job as an instructor. Those low time positions that you're looking for a really hard to find and usually pretty competitive. With a CFI in your pocket, it'll make you stand out from the rest and there will be more open doors to you for employment.

I don't really think anybody WAS a job is a good description of what you're looking for either btw. Try a little harder and spend some time on the internet looking for jobs. Jobs in the industry don't find you unless you happen to run into some at the airport while you're already working your aviation job. If you're not working getting paid to fly do your own research to find what you want.
Just having your commercial doesn't mean you have a right to get hired somewhere, you still have to work at it once you find the job you do qualify for. By the time you find a job, other than a CFI gig, with less than 400 hrs you have to work your hardest to stand out in the hiring process because there are going to be a hundred other low timers looking at the same job.
I'll be nice and not say anymore about this flamer.

I'm a pilot from NH with 360 TT and 160 multi.I hold commercial multi and Instrument rATING. If anybody was a job please contact me. My e-mail is [email protected]
[takes grammar police hat off] In response though the best thing you can do is get a CFI. I got it to build time to get to the airlines and now on furlough I couldn't imagine what I would do without it as I am instructing again. Probably waiting tables or something to pay the bills (granted it probably would pay more). If flight instructing is completely not for you, there is traffice watch (u might have to leave NH for that, just a hunch) or aerial mapping, but their season runs from October to May.
