American Eagle to hire

So quick question..I guess they have the review boards every Fri now to get the process moving a little more quickly..do you usually find out ON Fri or a few days later?
I'm just anxious to hear back...and I'm assuming they tell you whether you made it through or not??

Yes, they are doing the review board every Friday. If you pass the review board then they will call you that same day. So, expect a call every Friday!
It took Eagle 33 days to call me after I did the interview! fyi
Good luck

So I don't know if they're falling behind on getting people on board and are trying to speed up the process a bit.

Wow ok..thanks for the heads up..they had mentioned before I left that it would be possible to be up for review this week...it just depends how long it takes for my current/previous employer to send back the paperwork..which I know they have already done so. I know they get FAA records too, but not sure if they wait on those before the review board or not.

After you get your "Pre-Offer of Employment" expect AT LEAST two weeks before they call you back. My paperwork took a little longer because my employer did not get the the paperwork they were supposed to send to Eagle...so that was a pain...
When did you do the interview?

Cool man! Congrats! I did my interview on January 24, did the medical eval. today, and start classes on March 14.
Hopefully they'll call you back on March 11 if everything runs smoothly.
Keep in touch and let us know how it goes!

I noticed the particular wording of the blurb on the AE pilot site:
To be considered for a First Officer interview with American Eagle, applicants must hold commercial pilot certification with multi-engine and instrument ratings. Total fixed wing of 800 hours, multi-engine fixed wing time of 100 hours and 250 PIC is preferred.
Does this mean they will actually now accept applications of < 800/100?

Again, very rare it seems. However, it seems 800/100 is the magic number for an interview. If you look on the boards, thats what people are getting offered at. Like 805 hours/101 multi for instance.

My brother is a skipper at Eagle. He has pulled out all the stops for me to get hired. My total pilot time is 500/180 but I also have 11,000 hrs FE time. ERAU grad, 25 years flying including 121 experience, 121 Check Airman experience, etc. Do you think I might get a call? Nope. So either they are being headstrong, don't like my brother, or they don't want to look at me because of my age (47 years old). I'm really frustrated.

It doesn't matter who brings in a resume. They will not budge off of the mins.
