Great Lakes Hiring?

Just like any airline. I started off as an airport agent with American. We had great agents and then not so great. My favorite was when one of them told a customer they had to come back at 4pm to see the ticketing agent. He was just a check-in agent. We were all trained as ticketing agents. He just got off work at 4pm. I also hated agents who didn't keep passengers informed of delays or were rude about it. No matter how bad it was or how many international flights I had to rebook; keep passengers informed, be friendly, and it will make them happier in the end.

Apparently finances are a different priority these days. I know after my first year in the Army starting off as an E-1 through E-3 that year I made $8000. I had $4000 in savings by the end of that year. Each raise and/or new job I got my first priority was to up my savings to cover 6 months of unemployment. Not to mention I've also always taken 10% of my pay check and put away for retirement. Started doing that at 17, now 35, I've pretty much got the wife and my retirement and kids college fund set. We also always lived about 40% below our means. Get approved for a $300,000 hours. Buy a 150,000 house, etc...

I had an interview with Lakes on the 3rd for the August class. If anyone wants to know details of the interview, PM me. I was asked questions other than what were on the gouges. Is a cake interveiw if you take the time to study. I get to sit around untill at least the 16th to find out if I've been hired or not. Seems like it will be a great company to fly for.
