I'm not entirely sure, but its in my ops manual. I think 135.265 mainly deals with commuter ops, which I believe are defined as a published schedule flying between 2 points at least 5 times a week. (My company only fllies between any two points 3 times a week at most.) Maybe that's how they get around it. Only know that every carrier I know operates with the same time and rest regs. Maybe not Frontier, though, I'll have to ask.
I'll ask our instructor pilot what the deal is with that.

Here's our website: www.frontierflying.com (it's down for New Year's day). There is a route map availible there as well.

Frontier Flying Service's callsign is "Frontier-Air." The Denver Frontier is "Frontier-Flight" The controllers up here just don't use the whole callsign nor force the issue.

Though, I have heard some ANC Approach controllers use the full callsign, which makes sense because its the only place both Frontiers fly.

if you want a job in alaska check out Alaska Central Express www.aceaircargo.com flying 1900 cargo. you'll build time fast. it's the step child of alaska flying jobs but you'll get over 100hrs of Twin Turbine a month. possibly upgrade in a year. Wayne Carter is the CP.

IIRC, the Frontier-Air / Frontier-Flight thing came about after the big Frontier started going to ANC (found out some more info since I posted last). Still could be confusing since we don't have Airlines in our name and officially it includes Air and Airlines doesn't have flight but it's in their callsign. I've yet to be called anything other than "Frontier xxx" anywhere in the state. This includes Anchorage when both of us are in the air at the same time. System wide both companies just use "Frontier" as SOP.

As mentioned previously, right place and right time. Less time you have the more likely it is you'll stick around longer. They like hiring low time F/Os.
Right now the schedule just got cut by 250 hours so we can lose a few captains before they even need to think about hiring. Probobly be a hiring push right before the summer season starts.
