Just curious if anyone on here interviewed with PenAir last month?
They were expecting to interview a good number of applicants.
If so where is everyone getting assigned? What equipment?

Some good companies are starting to have trouble finding pilots meeting minimums. Companies that aren't really good to employees are having a lot of trouble replacing attrition, let alone any trying to expand.

We are losing a pilot a week right now... and at the size of our company, that is a VERY high turnover.

What company is that?

I know a guy at Mesa and he said they cannot find near enough people to even interview. With their reputation even the NewBees are getting the picture. American Eagle is struggling as are so many regionals. May'be a livable wage and descent working conditions are around the corner for those regional guys/gals.

I had an unbelievable experience at Mesa. If you are military or have any family members in the military, stay away from MESA they don't respect your situation!

Another friend of mine works for Empire in the ATR42 and he said the pilots are very unhappy with the current conditions. He is about to go back to flying a six in AK. I can't blame him, I love flying low and slow in AK! It's the best!

Is he talking about it or doing it? Everts is the only one left that will be hiring for the 6. NAC will be down to 2 within a few months.

In Alaska, you say six and I assume DC-6... first time I've heard someone try to call the cherokee 6 by just a 6.

If you are an Anchorage pilot, I understand.

I can understand the confusion. DC-6 or PA32 = (6)

Yeah, Cherokee Six in South East. I think he is headed up there in April or May. I flew with him over there a couple of years ago.
