Has anyone heard how many people will go to class in August? I have seen some posts where people got job offers.

My buddy was told to expect a class date anywhere from early sept to early oct DEPENDING on what happens with the flowthrough agreements. Fwiw

I beleive there are a few that have had their background checks and everything else come back thumbs up, so now it is just time to wait for Brian to call em with a class date! :D

So is big B still officially running the new hire welcome wagon?

Crew resources and scheduling said a few weeks ago that the first class (August 2nd,) would have only recalls, and the August 16th class would see the first fresh faces. I believe they said 30 bodies per class. With 45ish recalls comming in, that would leave about 15 spots in the August 16th class for newbies, and most of the spots in all classes after that. (Recalls can give a 30 day notice that they want to come back, so there are usually a few of them in every class.)

So, especially for those who got hired in 08 (or any folks who've been picked up in this latest round) - please tell me if this distillation of interview prep advice I've read is more or less on-target:

- Realize I'm interviewing from the moment I step to the departure counter
- Have all my documentation gtg and square
- Listen to Tony
- Study the hell on topics from the guide
- Log onto luminosity.com to get the brain working again
- Cell phone off when I'm waiting for the crew bus
- Listen to Tony
- Talk to Delta friends to shore up internal recs and get their advice/updates
- Spend some time thinking back over my experiences for anecdotes that might be good to recall for TAAT questions.
- Listen to Tony
- Basic interview stuff: Be honest, straightforward, thoughtful, polite, and direct, make/keep eye contact, use names, sirs, ma'ams.
- Oh yeah, got the navy blue suits and red ties. Will pick up some fresh shirts, and dig up my black briefcase from my Agent days (or is that old hat now?).

Anything else I'm missing? Something about listening to a guy named Tony comes to mind...

Also - I've pored over the WFFF interview reports, but is there any other good gouge you might recommend?

Thanks in advance.

I wrote that part about Tony. Not sure if he's still there but the point he was trying to impart was to be yourself in the testing and to breathe from time to time. ;-)

Good Luck. Wear the uniform and don't be afraid to be yourself - in other words, if you want to take off your coat - do it. If you don't, then just be comfortable and know who you are and what your leadership style is.
