Wow, and they hired you? That is hilarious.

I bet those folks sure do have some good interview stories.

I did the HR right after Johnso29 did and when the interview Capt came and got me for my panel interview he says, (this was pre-merger announcement mind you)

Him: So do you know Johnso29?
Me: Yes sir i do, we work together at our current regional.
Him: I bet he's sweating right now!
Me: oh really?
Him: Yeah apparently he wants to be a pilot for Delta Air Lines!
Me: Oh no (secretly thinking doh!!)
Him: Oh dont worry he did fine :D

My buddy just got the invite last night...suprisingly, he isn't even available until next April...I don't know the industry very well I guess, but I would think with thousands of extremely qualified candidates, they wouldn't call people yet who are not available for 9 another months...thoughts??

My thought is Delta wants military guys and there are very few qualified military guys applying.

Is it possible they're building a pool from and then offering class dates from there based on availability?

Offered conditional employment with Delta! Military pilot, >4000 hours, 43 years old, retiring from the Air Force.
