If I understood your question correctly, then the answer is yes.

The memorandum of understanding signed between Pinnacle and Mesaba states:

And to throw another big toss-up...

The MOU also lets furloughed Mesaba pilots to keep their Mesaba recall rights. Some furloughed Mesaba pilots who have snubbed Pinnacle and Colgan's offer of employment seem to think they are going to be "recalled" for placement on an integrated seniority list at Pinnacle - which may or may not happen. Our MEC's have not yet officially spoken about integration methods... but if they do, off the street new hires will be held down if the furloughs do later decide to come to Pinnacle.

Well I am in the first new hire class ( off the street ) in Sept. And I do know the feeling of being stuck with no movement for 3 1/2 years but man I would also hate to come to Pinnacle to only have Mesaba pilots keep drillng me down the senoirity list......:confused: I guess I have to keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best.

Does anyone know if Pinnacle provides medical/dental coverage to domestic partners?

mins are 1000/200. Competitive probably 3-5 times that. I would think even the most junior FO here now has a couple thousand hours in the CRJ.

For some reason that statement makes me sick.

All I mean by that is I have been a guy who is on reserve for a long time (years) just like those who have been stuck on the bottom for years with no movement. I fully give respect to those who are getting that shaft by being furloughed etc..

there may be more to the story than what you read... but that is why we have bad a*s internet forums..... :)

I am a Mesaba pilot. I haven't accepted a class date yet. It is my understanding that since I chose not to go to the earlier classes my seniority at Pinnacle will be for the date of class I can take. So in this case you will be above me on the Pinnacle seniority list as a Sept. hire.

however, this may not be the case whenever SLI comes through. apparently a draft for SLI that the Colgan/Pinnacle/Mesaba Mec's have been working on stipulates a date and everyone hired on after said date will not go ahead of people on the list prior to it, even if it goes relative seniority. This will be ok for you too though because there will be more Colgan new-hires in the future than at Pinnacle.

Also try not to think you are getting screwed, you just got a job at a a regional with a long term CPA, at a good point in the industry.

Even if you took the class you would be at the bottom of the list, once they figure out how to merge the seniority list, that is the only time you would use your former Mesaba seniority number. What are you holding off for in accepting the job offer?
