If it stays the way it is oct 1, 2011 is when it becomes law. Then there is a 3 year period to get everyone caught up.

last class started Monday the 8th. A buddy of mine was hired last week for a January class. I heard they have classes all the way till then.

How big are the inidividual classes?

I don't have accurate numbers but it looks like the classes are running between 10-14

Are all the sims in MEM operational? Wasn't one being recertified after being mothballed?

I was there in December for my PC and never even looked around that room to see if there were 2 or 3 sims. I am pretty sure there are still only 2 down there. Either way, this company needs to figure out how to get a lot more pilots on to the line. February block hours are as high as January and we can't just can't staff this place. On Saturday, we had about 20 flights cancel before 10 am for "no FO."

Is this a staffing issue because increased block hrs with no increase in pilots? Attrition? Both? No capts to fly FO? Thats a problem.
