I just looked at their upgrade Junior Capt Jan 07. That is kind of depressing considering i could have been a captain over there by now.

Even after sli wont there be a fence in place? If you are a mid-late 07 hire you should be able to upgrade before the fences come down. You might be junior but you will be a captain. Or am i wrong?

whats the point, being a jr capt here is no picnic....try and think about what RAH is going to look like 10 years from now, i would be willing to bet that everyones relative seniority holds its postion till we eventually furlough at the end of the decade.

I do think some will leave when the hiring starts. But our top 500(maybe more or less depending on the SLI), are lifers now, who think RAH is the greatest place in the world and BB can save us from anything and lead us into pilot lifestyle eutopia.

I doubt frontier makes it, and when our united contract ends in 2017, RAH will shrink rapidly.... just my prediction.

Im applying to be a substitute teacher....120 bucks a day, get off everyday at 2:30, weekends and holidays off.

TEXT BOOK definition of the "my crappy regional is better than your crappy regional" mentality. You really do belong at Eagle!

Probably quite a few. But they are furloughed from something other than a regional and probably were getting a descent wage. Unless they are extremely desperate (which they just might be), they will probably want to pass up on such a job. Where ever they came from, they were probably making a lot more than republic is offering.

That's like a surgeon loosing his job and passing up an opportunity to work at a free walkin Clinic.

Now is the time, I think, we will really see if all the push for ATP requirement will really pay off. If Republic really does have a hard time filling the positions with those requirements will they either A) Increase pay or B) Lower minimums.

Everyone championed the ATP rule that it would lower supply and raise demand, thus raising pilot pay. I am really excited to see how this one plays out.
