As far as getting hired who knows what would've happened if I would've been able to make it to that last phase... If you're qualified, you never know.

I don't mean to be "that guy", I am just curious, but are you a female or a minority?

Also, congrats and good luck :)

Its a good gig with a good retirement plan, a lot of growth in the future. Management is still management, but they do seem to know what they are doing. It is not for everyone and I would not recommend commuting since it is so far from even the west coast.

Just to somewhat add to that..... Every local I've talked to, and by local I mean born and raised here or have been here for a very very long time. Each and every one has wanted or dreamed of flying for Hawaiian (or Aloha before 2008). It is basically Hawaiian or bust for many out here. I could definitely see the reason Hawaiian would want locals (or even people who live out here).

Less cost to Hawaiian because they know they are not leaving if Delta or SWA calls..Less cost for cancelled flights etc because someone couldn't commute in.

Compared to other Legacies, Hawaiian is a completely differnet geographical airline. It is way out there and a very very long commute.

A smartly purchased 737 type doesn't cost 10-15K.

Your accountant can help you make sure that it's a tax deduction.

If I go to edit my profile....I can only edit the basic info like schools, residences, criminal background, jobs etc... Doesn't seem to be a way to access flight times to edit them...

I already submitted the auto generated e-mail that linked to the flight times portion of the app. When I go to "edit profile", it reaches a certain point and then says "thank You For Submitting". Never reaches the rest of the app. concerning flight times..

Any body else try/see the same thing?

Trying not to freak out over a slightly abnormal application..

I know places like JetBlue let you update all your information continuously... This online app at Hawaiian seems a bit less accomodating...

When I filled out the app, I didn't have all the info in front of me so I logged off figuring it would let me back in to update the app like most do. Then I got an auto generated email that said " the app was not complete click on the link below to finish it, Do Not use the edit profile link".
So I clicked on the link and finished the app, it went to the pilot time section and last page says something like " thank you for applying we will contact you if interested in you"

The weird thing, if I go to the section on the left that says "check app status"
it has the date from the first day I started filling in the online app not the date of the day I finished. So I kind-of wonder if the system has my updated app.
