I mean, SEA base, totally not a concern, not like the job itself, sorry, it is practical thinking for me. good luck though.

This site can be very, very useful, helpful, except from a guy like me,

Exactly, now you're getting it.

See, we can get along, my apologies.

We're in a horrible job market...I would be so happy to have any Boeing job right now.

At HAL, you may end with an Airbus job.

1. COMMUTER POLICY: As far as I know, there is no commuter policy. Which is why Hawaiian likes to hire local pilots or pilots with strong ties to Hawaii. However, a new scheduling policy was recently put into place where you can do segment trades. We have many commuters and they dont complain.

2. HOW MANY NEWHIRES: Rumor has it between 60-80 pilots this year. We've hired 12 so far.

3. MILITARY FLIGHT CONVERSIONS: I have no clue. Sorry.

4. SEATTLE BASE SENIORITY: The most junior FO is 33% off the bottom. It's a very small base with only 12 FOs.

5. NEWHIRES: Approximately half have been going to the heavy and half to the 717. In the future, I would guess most newhires will be assigned the A330. Expect to hold a line immediately because the most junior reserve pilot in any aircraft has 1-1.5 years seniority. Minimum 12 days off.

Are you serious? Does Hawaiian have a problem with white people in general -- or just white men? It's funny to think that so many strides have been made against racial discrimination that it has fostered just that... racial discrimination.

At least it's good to know in advance that Hawaiian uses discriminatory practices by not hiring whites. Or... Is it just your issue? And that is a serious question -- are you just bringing up trends that have burned you recently or are you speaking as a pilot representing the airline?

Sorry. . a million apologies. . I should have said "mainlanders". . .I used a term that my Hawaiian friends in college used to throw around in jest and didn't think it would be derogatory. I guess it is.
