Heard from a friend earlier today who said he received a call today from Alaska, and has an interview next Tuesday, so yes, calls are going out and interviews are starting. Now my phone needs to ring

Sure. His background was Navy P-3's and now working for US Airways (West). Not sure of his total hours but I'm sure it must be in the 10,000+ range, and he has several internal recs at Alaska and lives in the Northwest. Definitely a heavy hitter as far as qualifications and the hometown connection Alaska is known to like. As for myself, Navy background (P-3's, King Air 200's) and now flying a King Air for a Defense contractor. Several internal recs and from the Northwest as well. No call yet, but hopefull one is coming.

Anyone have any intel on what the interview might include? Previous gouges are from 2007-probably the last time they interviewed.

Heard they got over 1000 apps. Already had 350+ "silver bullet" recs on the CP's desk.
