I think that the 500tt min is for people that interned at Express and for those that went to ATP flight school and maybe another flight school. Everyone else is 600tt with probably around 1000tt being competitive depending on multi-time. If you have friends that work there have them take your resume to one of the chief pilots that will help a lot in getting an interview.

I'm sure the more multi you have the less total time you need. I'm not exactly sure how the new application process works, but I would say it is never to early to apply and to keep updating your application. You never know what will happen.

Good luck

This is my first posting!

I saw earlier in this thread that someone in an XJT class got based in Hawaii, but the flight maps on the Express Jet website don't really show any flight going there. Are they still flying to/basing people in Hawaii?

thanks!!

XJT just inked a deal with Hawaiin Airlines to fly 100 ERJ's for them based in HNL. The only bad news is XJT will only allow male pilots to fill these new positions....some contract provision about new flying needs to be offered to men first...standard ALPA contract language.

Is this the solution to the 69 aircraft issue?

Christ. . . first Mesa, now XJT.

So how is this going to work for the crews? XJT base at HNL? Commute from West coast?

No offense, but that is sad that they hire that low of time guys. I'm sure the flying public would feel safe knowing this.
