Ditto. Got the same message and was flustered before i had to run out and do some community service with a small unemployed pilots kabuki theater group i mentor. We use Mime, improv, and body paint to enhance our crew coordination skills during timed scenarios and ability to avoid ****ing off HR experts.

When i returned there was a nice e-mail saying there had been some problems with the website and try again.

Also no place for rec letters.

Might seem like a stupid question but...On these apps where we have to copy and paste our resume, do you guys spend the time and effort rearranging the resulting garbled mess or do you leave it as is under the impression that they are just going to copy paste it back into a word document?

I have no problem trying to fix it up but if they are just going to copy paste it out into a word doc then its going to end up just as FUBAR when they do that...

I always suspect that they do this just to play mind games with us. Either that or there is some mysterious psych determination that they make based on which road we choose.

I don't have the latest info on how many Alaska intends to hire but the number 65 seems close. As retirements kick in next year hiring will pick up depending on the economy of course. We have heard as many as 10/ month until further notice.

I'm sorry to hear about the frustrations dealing with the system. When I have a chance I will let them know about the problems. I'm sure they already know however. As they say in the posting, try again later in the week because too many applications can overload the system.

Ugh. I exceed the minimums, but do not meet the "preferred" 50 hours in last 12 months...I'm teaching in Level D sims in a FAR 142 environment, so I am "current." Anyway, it kicked my app out.

Mike, any guesses on whether that's still a glitch in the system?

No idea about the system. If and when I catch the ear of someone who's in the know I pass along these concerns.

I'm a MAC guy (not PC). Has anyone used anything other than Internet Explorer? Firefox, Chrome, etc?

The instructions are very specific about using the correct browser.

Before the window opened I was able to navigate entirely to update my info, reintroduce myself, etc on my Mac...

The instructions are very specific about using the correct browser.
...but for this reason I used our spare PC to apply. I think if you're in a bind you should be ok.
