I know someone who got hired at UAL after his 3rd try!
Good luck!
Thanks for all the replies, I'll look into the books, "Everything explained...." is what I use, along with "Aerodynamics for Naval Aviators" for the technical portion, with a good review of Jepps. I'm not worried about the technical, nor the sim ride as I know I can do it, but when it comes to talking about myself, or explaining my mistakes along the way, I get nervous.

Funny story, to me at least, my granddad was telling me ( CAL Captain Retired) that when he first was hired on with Continental after coming back from the war, it took him at least 4 tries to get hired on there. Only happened because he bothered him often. Sometimes I would like to call him up and have a nice long chat like we used to, he's partly the reason I went into aviation.

I'm having a ton of resumes sent out and rarely even get more than the confirmation email after submission. So hang in there, at least you are getting the interview! You will gain valuable experience in the process that will help you land the right one when it is time.

Hang in there buddy. I'm feeling your pain. I recently blew the virgin interview, compass (test) and got the Skywest job. 10 years later, 2 furloughs and 6 years at another regional I'm back to square one. But that's the name of the game.
I have found in this journey that the more "touchy- feely" you are with your interviewer, better the odds. However easier said than done. Remember they want to see the whole package not just your serious pilot side.

Id be honest, tell them about a pita you flew with. Not the typical middle of the road crap. Tell them a real story.

Emerald Coast. Cannot say enough good things. Plus, the more you do something theoretically (hopefully!) the better you get. So hang in there, all of us wannabe's are doing the same ; )

What does it mean when you get a re-apply in 60 days vs 6 months? And I agree 100%, never ever quit. Keep striving towards the goal.

HR to me seems like it gets the least attention for preparation. I think it's imperative to wrote down key talking points for those difficult questions.

Be like a politician. They seem to be pros when it comes to answering difficult questions....they answer something that wasn't even asked but they have good taking points on and by the time they finish talking, everyone seems to have forgotten the original question and is impressed with the response.
